baja’s in-house design & engineering team meet customer specs and city criteria

  • baja Carports are engineered project-specific for local live loads.
  • baja’s years of in-house design & engineering experience with light gauge, high-tensile steel, and our extensive knowledge of solar panels is why baja carports’ in-house design & engineering team is constantly busy.

Site-Specific Carport Design Criteria

All designs are in strict compliance with standards requirements set forth by the local Municipality and the American Iron and Steel Institute’s AISI S100 North American Specifications for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members.

Pre-Engineered carport structures

baja Carports are project specific, engineered by baja’s in-house team for local loading requirements. Live loads from up to 90 psf, and wind speeds up to 170 mph. Special loading requirements can be custom engineered in-house to customer specific conditions.

Pre-Fabricated

Bolted connections make for faster on-site carport installation by baja Construction teams with no intended field welding. Direct attachment from modules to purlins, with no additional racking or decking required to reduce base of support.

Our objective for all In-House Design & Engineering carports

baja’s objective for each Solar Carport, Standard Carport, or Covered RV canopy installation is to make sure the customer’s entire parking lot meets their goal. Whether it’s to increase parking spaces while creating shade coverage or to install a solar carport system that offsets or eliminates their monthly power bill, we always deliver beyond your expectations.

Photovoltaic panels [solar modules] generate power based on solar module choice, orientation, layout and location. baja Carports can accommodate a proposed PV layout, improving integration and implementation of solar to canopy structures.
