PROJECT OVERVIEW
Baja Carports designed and constructed a solar carport system for Farmers & Merchants Bank, transforming existing parking areas into a renewable energy asset while providing covered parking for employees and visitors. Utilizing Baja’s Box Beam solar carport design, the project delivers long-term durability, efficient solar integration and a clean architectural appearance that complements the facility.
THE CHALLENGE
Farmers & Merchants Bank sought to reduce operating costs and improve sustainability by generating renewable energy on-site. The project required a solution that would maximize solar production without impacting daily operations or requiring additional land.
THE Solution
Baja Carports engineered and installed a Box Beam solar carport system spanning more than 29,000 square feet of parking area. The structure supports 1,169 solar panels, converting underutilized parking lot space into a productive source of clean energy. The solar array generates approximately 555,275 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, helping offset facility power consumption while providing the added benefit of shaded parking.
