Baja Carports designed and constructed a large-scale solar RV carport system for Manteca RV & Boat Storage, transforming a vehicle storage facility into a renewable energy-generating asset. The project maximizes the value of existing property by providing covered storage while producing clean energy for the local power grid.
THE CHALLENGE
The facility sought to enhance its RV and boat storage offerings while creating a sustainable source of renewable energy. The solution needed to provide extensive vehicle coverage, withstand long-term use and maximize solar production across a large site footprint.
THE Solution
Baja Carports engineered and installed more than 311,000 square feet of solar RV carports, creating covered storage for customers while supporting a 2.5-megawatt solar energy system. The structure accommodates 6,578 solar panels, turning previously unused overhead space into a productive clean-energy resource. The solar array generates renewable electricity daily and supplies energy to the local grid, helping meet regional energy demands while reducing reliance on traditional power sources.
